ASNY Board of Directors
ASNY leadership consists of The President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and an active Board of Directors, all who work in real time on BaseCamp to promote the profession of acupuncture and address current issues impacting acupunctursts. Every member of ASNY can watch us work on BaseCamp and attend the committee meetings and be part of the process! Following is a little more about us.

Following a positive personal experience with acupuncture treatment after a car accident, she decided in 2003 to return to school to study acupuncture, feeling that it could help bridge a gap in the healing and treatment of her patients. She attended the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM) in Mineola, NY, where she earned a Master’s degree in Acupuncture. She later returned to NYCTCM to complete her studies in Oriental Medicine, earning a Master’s degree in Herbology.

Mona’s specialties at Mind, Body, Spirit Acupuncture & Holistic Health include, but are not limited to, women’s health, infertility, and internal diseases. She utilizes her knowledge of acupuncture, Chinese herbology, and Eastern nutrition to help her patients achieve a healthier state. Her extensive background in Western medicine, along with her understanding of human biomechanics and Western disease processes, allows her to offer patients an integrative approach that combines the strengths of both Eastern and Western medicine.
In 2014, Mona was invited to join the faculty of the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she currently serves as a Professor, Clinical Director, and Clinical Supervisor for student interns. She is also a board member of ASNY and has been actively involved in promoting and advancing the acupuncture profession in New York State since 2014.
